Guest guest
I did the guaifenesin protocol several years ago. Yes, my thighs, legs and hips got much better, the ropey bands softened and even my chiropractor noticed I was better. but I could not stand the muscle knots in my upper back muscles and headaches that I had while on it. And, my blood pressure went up, too, even though guai is not suppose to bother the BP. Then too, you can't ingest or use topical any thing with salycilates in it. This is VERY difficult to do. Using cheap hair spray and shampoos that were salycilate free was not my idea of "healthy" for my hair! Then, I found out about Monolaurin. (monolaurin is made from coconut milk and is a part of the fatty acid chain--I think this is why it helps me) I stopped the guai. I still take Monolaurin today and can not be without it. (Sometimes when I start feeling really good, I forget to take it:). I think the best thing for FMS and MPS, which I have both, is diet--eating more alkaline foods to prevent the acidity build up. I drink an alkaline herbal tea. I walk on a treadmill and do stretching, too. It is not a perfect pain free life, but I do have a wonderful fulfilling life. It had alot of info on it.Has anyone in this group heard of this or tried it themselves?

Guest guest
That's very true. I know from being a Dominie Newsletter reader that so many get results and so many don't when using the same thing. Thanks for all your info. It's very difficult to know what is good for you. I have found some excellent vitamins and supplements that work better than any I have ever used from any store. If I forget to take them for a few days, I know it. Thanks again and take care, > >Got to be caqreful with iodine especially if you have any kind of > thryopid trouble at all.I have had it for well over 40+ years and now > have 1/4 of it left to hashi's which is an autoimmune disease. > toom, uch iodine can throw anyone into a hyper stae of thyroid trouble > too.
