Guest guest
I too am interested in a better tooth care product. I had burning mouth syndrome and changed to Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash cause it doesnt burn my mouth. it is supposed to strengthen teeth and has calcuim in it. I dont think there is anything wrong with this product. I am open to new info. > > I am currently looking into how to help my tooth sensitivity, chronic > cavities and deep pockets. Guest guest
I believe baking soda is too harsh. It is an abrasive. I am just starting to learn more about this I just posted a message about using Iodine for Fibromyalgia, here's the website address: http://www.fibromyalgiarecovery.com/index.htm It does have some info about Dental care and Fibro there. I use a tooth polish from Melaleuca that doesn't contain flouride. It does contain natural ingredients like Melaleuca Oil (quality tea tree oil), propolis and myrrh. I'd hate to see what my teeth would be like without good dental products. I hope this info helps you too. > > I am currently looking into how to help my tooth sensitivity, chronic > cavities and deep pockets. All these problems have worsened since > getting fibro. Guest guest
Rose, my dentist has me using a floride rinse to strengthen my enamel. It is the whiting toothpaste that thins the enamel as it is like a peroxide and is caustic when used over and over. Since I started using the floride my sensitivity has improved greatly, and even my peridontal disease has improved. Sandie -- Bad Teeth, PH & Testing I am currently looking into how to help my tooth sensitivity, chronic cavities and deep pockets. All these problems have worsened since getting fibro. Tested my water(which is all I drink) and it is 7.0 which I believe is good. Yet I cannot get my own PH up. No matter what I do I always have a test result of 6.5. I can even drink lemon water and get the same result. Information I have read states that standard flouride toothpastes strip the enamel off of our teeth as we get older. Tried tooth soap and could not handle that. Has anyone found a product brand without flouride that they have seen results with? Guest guest
I don't know what my pH is supposed to be, but my father is a dentist so I grew up with pretty good teeth. As an experiment a while back, I eliminated fluoride as well as a lot of other toxic ingredients in my diet and environment. So I switched to Tom's toothpaste (they make one without fluoride: I use peppermint) and I think I'm doing fairly well, although I have not been to the dentist yet since I started doing this. I asked my dad if adults really needed fluoride, and he said at about my age (mid 40s) it's not really necessary.
