Guest guest
Dixie, I've been taking Klonopin (generic) for about 5 months now. So far, I've had no negative affects. It doesn't really make me like it used to lately, so other than that, it's all it's done for me. Not much of an ananswer, but I hope it helps. Take care, in TN > > > Have any of you ever > had a negative affect > from taking Klonapin? > > I am beginning to > think it is the > cause of my vertigo > problem. Guest guest
Hi Dixie, Of course everybody's experience with drugs differs, but Klonopin worked very well for me at at the beginning, but after a few months it stopped working as well and I had to take a higher dosage. I didn't want to keep taking more and more and more, so working with my doctor, I weaned myself off of it, which even though I went very slowly, it was really difficult. If it works for you, then take it, but it's very important that if and when you decide to stop taking it, that you work closely with your prescriber to dose down very slowly. I hope it helps you. Guest guest
I have a sister who is at this time in an institution coming " off " Klonapin, which caused her to be suicidal. Guest guest
hi , clonazepam is a benzo? I do well on benzo's too. Where others fall asleep, I need them to get my nervous system from a hyperactive state to a " normal " activity level. I do well on anti-epiliptica too. For the same reason. What I found out (read a lot to understand it) is that a possible reason could be that they are both GABA-agonists. They tune down the brain. I have a definit glutamate problem so the benzo's and anti-epileptics counter that a bit by raising GABA. They do not give me energy whatsoever as it does with you. Perhaps you get some energy because your brain isn't using up so much energy anymore once it's brought down to a normal activity level? Just guessing. I know with certainty I have brain/nervous system issues that I only get a bit under control with a combination of benzo's and anti-epiliptics. Hope this makes some sense :-) Els (eliza) > > I feel better and almost more energetic after I take Klonapin. Can anybody explain why that would be? Guest guest
You r a 'Cheney' classic positive K responder. K is not a sleeping pill but will help w/ sleep. My only caution would be to not to increase your dosage in that if you become tolerant to it and it stops working, stopping it may cause w/d symptoms. However, personally, I have been off and on it for years and when I run out or stop taking it, I don't experience any negative reactions. But there are a lot of people who have problems quiting benzos. Mike > > > > I feel better and almost more energetic after I take Klonapin. Can anybody explain why that would be?
