Guest guest
I CAN NOT STAND FOR SOCKS AND SHOES TO TOUCH MY FEET FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. THIS PAST WEEKEND I PURCHASED DIABETIC SOCKS AND I WAS ABLE TO WEAR THEM WITH NO PAIN AND IT EVEN HELPED THE PAIN WHEN I PUT ON MY SHOES. I BOUGHT TWO PAIR AT WAL MART FOR LIKE 7 DOLLARS. NORMAL SOCKS, I OFTEN SCRATCH WITH LIKE I AM ALLERGIC TO SOMETHING IN THEM AND THE NEW SOCKS I DIDN'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM WITH.southernyankee7457 <southernyankee7457@...> wrote: Is is common for people with FM to have burning, painful feet? No matter what shoes I wear, it seems that as long as I'm "on" my feet I have learned to accept the pain. But, then once I sit, then to get back up and on them, is excruiating! At night they just burn and throb, with sharp painful spasms going from one toe to the next.
Guest guest
My son had a condition called RSD(Refelx Sympathetic Dystrophy). He developed it from nerve damage in his back from an accident. He also could not wear socks/shoes or have his foot under blankets/sheets at night. Google it for help. There are exercises and pressure desensitization procedures to help with pain. Twice a day for ten min we had to use a comb across his foot and light touching. Then follow up with dragging a warm then cold washcloth across the entire foot. He also rec'd physical therapy using an electical stimulator. Meds were neurontin which he got migraines from and had to discontinue. I feel the procedures is what helped him. Took 2 months to get better. Now gone. Good luck. Is is common for people with FM to have burning, painful feet?
