Guest guest
Hi - Don't panic yet. I have gone through breast lumps over the years, and sometimes they are just benign cysts. Also, your new insurance may have a provision for a free mammogram - I have really lousy insurance and still can get a free mammogram yearly if I want one. Keep us posted! - Dominie > > Last night--in bed (in my nightgown--with of course no bra on)--I brushed up against something that felt odd in my right breast. Guest guest
Hi , There is a 99% chance that you have a cyst..either that or maybe a blocked milk duct. Many fibromites tend to get them... and often! I began getting them on my breasts in my 20s and finally stopped at menopause. You should always have them checked out of course, especially if they remain for very long. Keep an eye on it this weekend..it might even disappear.. and plan to have things checked out in next week or two if possible. Good luck ..I know how you feel. ine ps Any general practicioner should be able to help you. If they feel the need they'll send you to a specialist. dominie From: cbast1030@...Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2008 07:00:18 -0800Subject: URGENT--I'm Frightened Out Of My Wits--And Don't Know What To Do!!! Guest guest
, I have gone through this myself. Since you don't have a Dr. You could maybe go to a walk in clinic. They will exam you and then most likely order a mammogram. Any practitioner can do this initial exam. I have fibrocystic breast so always have lumps, but if I notice any changes I get ahold of my Dr right away for further exam. Like ine said it could be just a cyst, or blocked milk duct. Or even an ingrown hair. Sandie -- URGENT--I'm Frightened Out Of My Wits--And Don't Know What To Do!!! Guest guest
Hang in there and take a deep breath sweetie =) I had my first cyst at 14, and have had them off and on since. It's probably just that, or like others said a clogged milk duct (funny story....my mom was diagnosed with one of those around 5 years ago, and at that time she was 60!) But still get it checked just to be on the safe side. Nadine memommy1947 <MEMOMMY1947@...> wrote: , I have gone through this myself. Since you don't have a Dr. You could maybe go to a walk in clinic. Guest guest
You need to go to a GYN - that is where I would start. Guest guest
Like everyone else is saying, chances are really good that it's a cyst. It's called fibrocystic disease. I have it and so do millions of other women. Take a look here: http://www.breakthrough.org.uk/about_breast_cancer/diagnosis/benign_breast_condition_diagnosis/fibrocystic.html Pam URGENT--I'm Frightened Out Of My Wits--And Don't Know What To Do!!!
