Guest guest
Hi Jeff, could you answer these questions if you have time (don't need lengthy answers, just a few words or links okay thanks.): (1) By my guessing Pritkin must have begun his diet in the late 1940's or early 1950's. Now I would guess that at some point he picked up " followers " or people around him who also followed his way of eating. Now although Pritkin is no longer with us, what about those followers. If they exist have you or anybody kept track of them on a statistical or case-study level - if so is the Pritkin diet for them 100% CHD proof but also does the diet help keep at bay the other diseases (prostate cancer etc), not really interested in short term studies right now, more interested in those who have followed a pritkin style diet for decades. And of those that have also died after a long period on Pritkin diet, were they living longer than the norm (78 years or so). If there are only a few case studies you can draw upon, then what is your gut feeling as to the answer to my question (I realise not many people may have been dedicated enough to follow pritkin for decades, but maybe you know of a few who have) (2) what do you do about friendly bacteria (nothing?, yogurt, Kefir, supplements etc) (3) do you feel soya consumption (isolate or food) and Whey Isolate Protein, in moderation, is safe for human health (some argue it is not). (4) what motivated you at such an early age to follow a pritkin type diet (ethical, health concerns etc)? (ignore this if it's too personal) many thanks ...
