Guest guest
----- Unfortunately in these times Mercury is a concern when choosing to eat fish. According to these tables SALMON tests very low to non-existent for mercury contamination. The levels in canned/fresh/frozen were not detectable in all samples tested. What do you do? I try to keep all sources of animal protein low and vegetable protein relatively high, still staying somewhere around the 15 to 17% mark. It does creep up to 20% (of 1800 kc) pretty often. I eat a little pacific salmon, usually chinook, quite regularly, and now and then I eat a couple of ounces of canned albacore tuna. I don't worry about it. As far as I can tell from the studies I've seen, people who eat a lot of vegetables and alittle fish live longer (generally) than those who don't. I have come to enjoy this way of eating.
