Most is because someone replied to someone else, but didn't bother to cut out the rest of the message. Protocol should be to cut what you are not responding too, leaving a short message with your comments. The subjects are indeed interesting. Taken to extreme you might often not know who is being replied to. that is a lot more irritating. I don't read the digest and I have no idea how to improve what does with the info like auto cut out the ads. There aren't that many posts to this site so I don't see the problem getting emails. And I top post because I wan to see the latest info first without paging down.
