Guest guest
Merry - I was a SrA...Now an A1C. I was reduced in rank after my first article 15. I also received 45 days extra duty, 4 hrs a day. It is not as bad as they (command) make it out to be. The only really bad thing would be if you are in alot of debt. When my wife and I bought our home we only qualified on my income - so we are not hurting too much now that I am an A1C. I refused the second written order last week but nothing has been done about it. The 1st sergeant says that they are waiting for the Area Defense Council to get back (she is in court all week.) Remember, you are not in this alone. Jeff Bettendorf AFB
Guest guest
To the list, This is to the person who adamately oposes the vaccine. I am a Air National guard member. I was once a active duty Air Force member. I fully support your position! The military (and US Government) don't have a particularly good record of truthfullness. If you need to talk please Mail me at: GBOZARTH@... I am doing my own research on this topic and have no intention of taking this vaccine. Gerry Date: 4 Jan 1999 09:48:34 -0000 onelist From: conver92@... Reply-to: onelist Subject: Update From: conver92@... Hello to the list, This is Merry, I have only written to the list a couple of times, but read it every single day. Well, my time is just about here. I am supposed to get the vaccination on Wednesday and am going to refuse. Today I had to go and talk with the Command Senior Enlisted Advisor for our group, then soon after had to go and talk with the Group Flight Surgeon. It was somewhat informational, but nothing that I haven't seen before. The Flight doctor pretty much said that " this " isn't worth ending your military career over...I had to disagree. He couldn't really answer any of my most concerning questions, so it didn't change my mind in any way. He kept comparing that there are so many other things we accept to take and there aren't studies on them, yet we don't protest it, and this one has been around for 30 years. I told him that I realize there are other drugs or immunizations we may accept, but this one is different and it isn't necessary. Is it true that this isn't the exact same vaccine that was approved by the FDA in 1970? Just wanted to double check on that. He even said that if we were in the " Civilian " world that he wouldn't recommend getting it, but we are in the military, forward deployed, and have the chance of getting exposed to it, therefore it is necessary. Anyways, he doesn't really think that my concerns are viable and I should just get it and move on. Needless to say, I have not changed my mind in any way, shape, or form. My husband and I are dead set on this whole thing, so we'll just have to go with the flow and accept whatever happens. My first Sergeant told me last week that I could be out of here in about 45-60 days. I'll probably get my first Article 15 sometime next week, then they will send me to a 2 week " awareness " (brainwashing) class. After that I will get another written order to get the shot. Once I refuse, I will get my second Article 15 and within a week or so, they will start my discharge paperwork. She said it will be a General Discharge, Under Honorable Conditions. The good thing is she understands where I am coming from, so hopefully the punishment will be as minimal as possible...but I'm not really sure at this point. Just thought I would give an update on my situation, thanks for listening. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! Guest guest
: Food for thought..... you, the medical physician or the soldier himself is not necessarily the only people who can fill out a VAERS form. Not surprising that they told them to hold off. Anyway, his parents could JUST AS EASILY fill the form out for him, and send it forth. I have a blank one, if you're interested............. Guest guest
Hi All, Well, I tried it (tried my best), and it was killing me. My DR called last week, my titers are way up, I can feel it, I have active Mono. My brain fog gets worse every day, and now my head rushes are almost constant. I'm starting to have a hard time even getting air anymore, I've hit the wall. So I have to resign today from my job at the bank. I feel so awful about it, I thought maybe I could finally start living a normal life. I've lost half my life to this stuff.... MI Thanks Jerry for that info, I will keep you all informed on my SSD progress.

Guest guest
When I went to the Reginal Medical Center here the LTC Dr. told me for over an hour how bad this stuff (AVIP) was, and then pulled a black 5 " notebook from his desk that was nothing but Antrax related messages. He advised me that what would normally be considered moderate to severe reactions were relegated to minor for the AVIP specifically to keep the stats down. IF the congressman really wants the truth he needs to supeona all the military message traffic that has been generated over this AVIP and especially the directives over the program. > Update > > > > Sorry I've been online so litle lately. > > Been preparing for the next Congressional hearing on anthrax, currently > slated for October 2, to be conducted by Dan Burton's Govt Reform > Committee. A few weekends ago she went to a spec needs camp and really had a great time. We are planning to get her into a socialization group with spec needs kids in her age group which meets every other saturday. I am really feeling a shift in social skills with kids her won age. I think they are out growing her a bit and she desperately wants to be part of their world. ~ Mom to 10 1/2 ds and jesse

Guest guest
Hi , I must have erred somewhere. Actually, what I am doing now is taking 4 big tablespoons [in the South a lot of times they call tablespoons what people in the North call soupspoons-- which is half a big tablespoon] with 3/4 cup of cottage cheese. I mix it and take half in the morning and half at night. I was mistaken on the other supplement. It is not Alpha Lipoic acid, which I understand is good, but CLA, Conjgated Linoleic Acid, which makes the mix more effective. As far as Omega 6 is concerned, there is no need to be concerned. The problem is that our normal diets give us way too much as it is. The need for the Omega 3 in Flax oil is to balance the Omega 6 that we normally get. Guest guest
Their are more recent articles on CLA in the search engines but I found this interesting in case anyone were to increase linoleic acid without first looking into it. That could be a mistake. This page did not go into detail about how much CLA would be beneficial, maybe Cliff has more details on that aspect. http://www.acsh.org/Publications/Priorities/0804/cla.html Whence CLA? The term " conjugated linoleic acid " refers to a group of several variants of linoleic acid (also called octadecadienoic acid), an essential fatty acid. Variants of linoleic acid differ from one another in the type and arrangement of their chemical bonds. The specific structure of CLA's chemical bonds is crucial to the compound's ability to fight cancer; at high levels, linoleic acid, whose chemical structure is slightly different, increases cancer growth in lab animals. Researchers are excited about CLA because it is anticarcinogenic at much lower dosages than are many other naturally occurring anticarcinogens. It is effective in animals at dietary levels as low as .05 percent. According to researchers at the October 1996 Cornell Nutrition Conference, the normal human intake of CLA from dairy products provides about one third of the level of CLA shown to afford cancer protection in experimental animal models.
