Guest guest
Well, apple cider vinegar and honey is the Vermont Folk Medicine used to treat many ailments in the book, " Folk Medicine " by D.C. Jarvis, MD. You could check places that sell outdated books or do a search for it on Google. Dick More on ACV, BSM & RH Hi Folks, I did a little more research (well, just a little reading) on the above because I am really curious why this particular combination. Although, I could find ACV & honey mixed together, it didn't really ever say why the molasses. I decided to just do a search on blackstrap molasses. According to what I found, it contains significant amounts of a variety of mineral: iron, calcium, copper, manganese, potassium, magnesium, selenium and even a little B6. The ACV acts as an antibacterial, antifungal & antiviral source. That would explain my headache. And the honey will detox when used sparingly. OK, so today I did an experiement. This morning I took 1 tsp. of ACV in a glass of water with 1 tsp. raw honey. Felt fine. No bad side effects not even a headache. About 11:30 am. took just 1 tsp. ACV; no honey; no BSM. Felt fine. Noticed a little increase of energy. No bad side effects. This afternoon about 3:00 took the ACV, honey and added the BSM. NOW I feel tired and sleepy but don't have any headache. Well, I got to thinking after reading what all was in the BSM, maybe it's just too much for me. I have other sources of minerals. So for now I'm going to hold off on the BSM and just do the other. I really like the ACV. Don't know why, but it does seem to agree with me. And the Bragg's brand seems to be more agreeable than the plain ol' store bought from Safeway. Guest guest
Hi Dick, I did do a Google search. And although they have a lot about the combination of taking ACV and honey, they don't include the BSM. So I did another search on just BSM. I was really curious as to the combination of the three. Can't seem to find in reading on that. Guest guest
Sorry, I can't be more help. I think Daddybob is the one who introduced the subject to our board. Maybe he has the info you are seeking. Dick Re: More on ACV, BSM & RH Hi Dick, I did do a Google search.
