Guest guest
Yup I have had them. They come and go and I have a hard time leaving them alone. I shampoo every day which may be drying my scalp and a rheumatologist once told me he thought I may have Sjogren's, but my labs were okay. You can put vaseline on them at night to wash out in the AM, but I have no other ideas on the subject. >
Guest guest
First of all, don't be so hard on yourself. No wonder you're tired! I used to work all day then go home and do housework, take care of kids, etc, too. Nothing wears you out like working 16 or 17 hours a day. You aren't doing anything wrong. You simply need more energy. Me, I take 2000 mgs of B12 a day - one in the morning when I get up, one after lunch. This does give me more energy. Don't take it after 4 PM, however, as you won't be able to sleep! I've had "eczema" on my head for 7 years. It is not itchy, but is kind of thick and I comb it off once a week. Yes, it can smart. My doctor told me to use aspirin shampoos. I use a dandruff shampoo, but it does nothing. I just live with it. My hairdresser says it's due to stress (I'm probably getting better advice from her!)Sorry I'm not too helpful with your head problem. What about asking to see a dermatologist? Guest guest
Thank goodness I am not alone! I have the same thing and have for years. My dermatologist gave me a liquid to put on the spots but it does not help. I get my hair colored and it stings because of the spots. Will not give up my wonderful days at the spa though. Guest guest
Sores like this are not common with Fibro. I would suggest to have Dr check thyroid levels and liver function test, and even test for yeast or fungal growth. My mother at one time had a problem with her scalp itching, and the Dr order the selsun and it cleared up. But it needs to be used as ordered. Mother did have a problem with yeast growth on her skin, so Dr did have her bathe with hibiclens which is an antibacterial, that is used in hospitals for the staff to cleanse their hands with. I have used it many years scrubbing up for surgery and when ever I would have to work in nursery. Guest guest
I get them too, and they sure are difficult to leave alone. I put Neosporin on them at night and if I can keep from picking at them for a day or two, they heal. Until I get the next ones. It had not occurred to me that it might be associated with fibro. Guest guest
I get breakouts of little sores on my head too, like little blood blisters. My doc told me it was old age (I'm 51). Also get a lot of breakout around my chin as well, but have always had great skin prior to this. Guest guest
I also get these little sores on the scalp, but only on the back and upper crown. I think there was a post a while back about this topic, and they said it was most likely plugged hair folicles. this made sense to me. I did use a anti fungal salve that my dr. gave me and they did go away. But, once in a while they return and then are gone again. Yes, it is very hard not to pick at them.. they will ooze some. whether this is fibro or not--could be. Elaine >
Guest guest
I had problems with this for 6 months this year. Would get better than come back after using antibiotic cream from the doctor. They really hurt and would even wake me in the middle of the night. I think the pain was from my picking at it and making it worse. They finally stopped. Did not change shampoo. Was it from the fish oil I started taking? Who knows. Have not returned for 3 months since I started taking it. -- In dominie , " Elaine " <epra72@...> wrote: > > > I also get these little sores on the scalp, but only on the back and > upper crown. Guest guest
-I am 56 and just started getting sores on my head. I tried every shampoo avalible and every treatment also. I changed hair dressers and I was telling her about it. She knows I have fibro and a lot of other problems and on a lot of meds. she had one of the girls in the salon to wash my hair. she massaged it till I thought i had gone to heaven. she said my head needed to be stimulated and get new oxigen moving in my scalp. I have tried doing this at home and it has cleared up most of it.Hope this helps. sorry if spelling is off. I am now using my right arm after breaking my shoulder. Leah T.
