If you put that you specialize in those areas, Fibro, etc., in your advertising material (pamphlets, etc.) you will attract clients I gaurentee. I have a very difficult time finding just the right massage therapist because I need someone who can do a deep tissue massage. Thankfully we have a gentleman who has nice big strong hands that comes in to where I work once a week to give chair massages. He helps keep my muscles a little loser and really works on getting out the knots. It is refreshing to hear from someone who isn't interested in giving the fluff massages--I can't tell you how dissappointed I have been in the past when I've specifically asked for a deep tissue massage before I make the appointment and get fluff instead--I won't go back, it isn't worth the money.

Good luck to you.

Just got this from a massage therapist near Boston. I told him Iwould post it on my message board. I like his attitude! - DomHi Dominie,My name is Wayne Jalbert. I am a Professional Licensed and NationalCertified Massage Therapist with over six years experience working inBoston's top Spas and Health Clubs. I have found that working in theSpa environment most people are just looking for a "fluff and buff"massage or a massage just because its the in thing to do. I became aMassage Therapist because I wanted to work with athletes, tightrestrictive muscles, injury rehab, pain reduction, Fibromyalgia andChronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome. I want to work in an area of massagewhere I can go home every night and feel like I have really helpedpeople. I wish there was one like him in the Atlanta area. It is good to know that there are SOME practitioners out there that understand.

, look in the yellow pages, for massage therapy. Then just start calling and ask if they work with fibromyalgia patients. Also many Chiropractic offices have massage therapy on staff. Most therapist now a days are trained to work with Fibro. In fact somewhere down where you are is the place that Cranial Sacral is taught. That is another therapy done by Massage therapist which is good for fibro. Sandie -- Massage therapist near Boston Just got this from a massage therapist near Boston. Thanks Sandie, I see my PCP and my Physiatrist this week so between the two hopefully they'll be able to tell me something about this type of massage therapy. Also, do you know the name of what they do for Myofascial Pain Syndrome as far as massage goes? I was posted on here and can't remember the name. Big surprise! Thanks Hugs H.
