From what I have seen it seems to have benefits. Someone suggested I use it in tea. I have tried it and it does give it an interesting tang. But I do not want to use it if it may cause problems. Guest guest Posted November 9, 2004 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 Appropos of my recent post on turmeric: Turmeric and ginger are closely related and have antiinflammatory, antioxidant, and other putative beneficial effects according to scientific references available on medline. Try searching medline on the pubmed search engine and you'll find quite a few interesting, peer reviewed papers on ginger and turmeric.
