Hi folks:

Does anyone have any input on the health effects of ginger?

(Especially any negative effects). From what I have seen it seems to

have benefits.

Someone suggested I use it in tea. I have tried it and it does give

it an interesting tang. But I do not want to use it if it may cause

problems.

Rodney.

I use ginger extract as an anti-inflammatory when my knees act up.

Seems to make the " crunching " sound go away.

Appropos of my recent post on turmeric: Turmeric and ginger are closely related

and have

antiinflammatory, antioxidant, and other putative beneficial effects according

to scientific

references available on medline. Try searching medline on the pubmed search

engine and

you'll find quite a few interesting, peer reviewed papers on ginger and

turmeric.

Wonder what that would convert to in fresh ginger, do you think?
