Guest guest
Hi All, How would CRers fare in traffic, as depicted in: http://www.cbc.ca/story/science/national/2004/10/20/heart_traffic04102 0.html ? Cheers, Al Pater.
Guest guest
Hi Al: My take is that if your arteries are clean you will not have non- existent plaque breaking off and blocking an important artery, no matter how dreadful the traffic, or other emotional, or other, upset. Nor how vigorous the exercise, for that matter. So how good is carotid IMT at indicating extent of plaque? If it is reliable then CRers are in the 'clear'. But I doubt CRers are completely immune to hemorrhagic stroke or aneurism. Guest guest
Hi All, and Rodney, I believe CRers are less stressed also. Guest guest
Hi Al: That makes a lot of sense. Many people who are 'stressed-out' have enough on their plate coping with life in general, without adding to their problems by getting involved in trying to figure out how to muster the serious effort required to restrict their caloric intake. Sort of darwinian.
