Guest guest
The Grandfather of American Fitness Turns 90 Staying healthy is not just about living a long life, it is also about maintaining a quality of life. Take for example, Jack LaLanne, pioneer of the American fitness movement, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday. LaLanne can still lift weights, do sit-ups, and hoist his 78-year-old wife Elaine. His " secret " ? A sensible diet (high protein, lots of fruits and vegetables, and no caffeine, white sugar, or refined flour) and regular exercise. " I've got no aches and no pains, " LaLanne said. " If I get a sniffle, it's gone the next day. Everything's working. Just look at my wife. She's smiling. "
