Guest guest
flip flops on this one. Sometimes she'll walk amazing distances and refuse a stroller (at the zoo) with no complaint. Other times she'll complain that her legs or feet really hurt or are tired and it really seems legit. There's never any redness/swelling/heat. Just yesterday she was walking through a store with me (a grand, unusual privilege!) and after a short while ended up complaining her legs were tired and she actually ASKED to go in the cart!!!!!! Well, turns out a virus (URI) was brewing so maybe that explains that occasion. (mom to Kate, born 9/19/02; and , age 3-3/4 -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs)
Guest guest
Hi everyone. I am new to the boards here. I was diagnosed with FMS over ten years ago. Two years ago I began having a constellation of really nasty symptoms that were finally diagnosed after many doctors and much pushing from me to be autonomic nervous system disorder. I have been experiencing more and more leg pain over the last few weeks. It doesn't feel like FMS. The legs are not sore to the touch but ache something awful. I am going to a vascular doc soon to rule out PAD. The more I see about ME though, I wonder if that is what is going on with me. Do any of you know much about ME and know about leg pain with fasiculations of the muscles and electric sensations? I have been through hell these last two years with everything from orthostatic hypotension, PVCs, seizure like symptoms, insomnia, weight loss and then regain and innumerable tests and trips to specialists. I am about at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated.
Guest guest
I used magnets on my shoulders about 20 years ago when I suffered greatly from continuous shoulder pain (perhaps tendinitis). They worked great. The only difficulty I had was keeping them on - I am allergic to tape and had to use ace bandages which kept slipping. Actually, a dentist told me about the magnets - he was using them on his lower back to prevent back pain, since he had to lean over working on patients all day. The brand I bought was Nikken. They were flat like credit cards, but a little bigger. - Dom
Guest guest
A word to the wise. Make sure if you use magnets that they are not contra indicated with your medications. We were going to get Daddy some when he had his Multiple Myeloma, and when we read the contraindications, a lot of the pain medications were listed. Also if you have a pump of any kind, or pacemaker, they are contraindicated.
