if you haven't already, go get a thorough medical checkup.

Why are you oversalting? Oversalting is akin to my saying: " I would be a

CRONIE except for the minor fact that I eat a lot " .

Your diet makes no mention of salad and raw veggies. These aid in

constipation and normal peristalsis action. After you get a checkup, if all

is well, add raw veggies and some prunes and/or Senekot for more normal

bowel function.

Although you haven't mentioned specific food choices, if you are consuming significant volume of food and holding onto it too long your body may be trying to extract more water from it. Try adding more liquids (water, tea, etc). Since you mention the possibility of too much salt, try cutting back on the amounts.

hi, i was wondering if anyone expeienced excessive bloating. i seriously feel like i'm pregnant. i know that i'm not, but my stomach is soooooo incredibly bloated and expanded, that i can barely fit anything in my closet. it's to the point where i am extremely uncomfortable. i have a bowel mvmt approx. twice a week, and i eat about 1400 calories per day, mostly cooked vegetables, fruit, and some fish. does anyone have any experience with this, or guesses on what it could be.

i'm thinking maybe i need to chew more, or use less salt. i tend to oversalt my food.???

thanks, Yongae

Interestingly, I get REAL bloated (stomach distention) when I eat sugar free

candy with malitol. I understand this isn't your case, just mentioning since

it seems so odd. Seems to be only malitol (vs.Sucralose, etc) Anyway,

sounds like could be similar digestive issue ... have you tried digestive

enzymes? just a thought. Perhaps it's just one food your stomach doesn't

want to break down. Play the food elimination game? Doctor opinions sounds

like a good idea. I would keep searching for solution. Good luck.

thanks for everyone's input. i got alot of great suggestions. i think definitely i need to drink more water and add more raw veggies. i eat carrots and sugar snap peas and peaches, as far as raw food goes. these are like snacks for me, but it may not be enough. i'm going to add salads to my list of meals, since i do 90% cooked veggies.

i think also i have enzyme deficiencies and generally a very unhealthy overworked digestive system. i was a compulsive overeater and binger for about ten years. i'm going to start taking enzyme supplements with my meals, and probiotic supplements as well. i started taking them a few months ago, and noticed some improvement, but i'm not the best candidate for taking pills. for some reason, it just feels wrong for me to pop pills. i must get over this "feeling" though, because my body needs help. i've abused it for so long, and i truly feel that these supplements would take some strain off of my digestive system, not to mension the parts of my body that get taxed when my digestive system is clogged(pancreas, kidneys, skin, etc). i also need to get over that "feeling" because i've backed off taking my multi-vitamins, which i know are an important part of CRON. i have very bad acne and i think a big part of it is my problems with my

digestive system. food gets trapped in my intestines and the toxicity builds up.

anyways, point is, eating more veggies has been a good step in the right direction, but it doesn't stop there. i've got to tweak my program, so that my body gets the best nourishment i can provide it. and it won't get that nourishment unless it can absorb it properly and rid itself of the waste in a timely manner. wish me luck.

thanks again for all your input. CRON is truly an adventure. and i am glad to be along for the ride.
