Guest guest
Thanks Rodney, I had thought about the other grains perhaps being safe (rice etc), but I still have not found a selection of foods that completely 100% removes the problem except one (chicken, pine nuts and water, but three days on this diet made me feel so awful I gave up and headed to the supermarket for a fresh baked loaf of bread and the problem returned the next day). Reason I chose chicken and pine nuts is that I had never eaten them much in life so should not be allergic to them). Once I find the perfect diet for my problem then I will try introducing rice and quinoa and barley to see what happens. I do also feel more tired after a grain meal than with a meat & veg meal. All I can say for sure is that the more veg and fish/meat I have, the better I feel (95% better). I had never actually thought of Starch as a possible problem and a quick internet check shows it pops up in a variety of foods I would not have expected, so that certainly seems a worth while path to try. my BMI is as low as I like it (around 18.5-19), height five foot eleven inch and weight between nine stone six to ten stone (it fluctuates as I try to solve allergy/intolerence problem due to calories content varying, waist 30 inch. So I have reached my cron limit (when I do drop the calories or weight more I get those side effects you sometimes here about such as very low sex drive and energy). Every combination of food I try seems to have a hidden factor that causes the allergy/intolerence to stay with me, but actually removing all starch foods is one I have never tried (watch this space ..) If I dont sort the problem out by the end of this year I will try to see what alergy test I can get via my doctor. As we have been eating starch throughout human history from roots etc I will only completely remove it long-term if I am 100% sure it is the problem. There is also the chance that I have a basic nose problem that cannot be cured and some foods annoy it. But that does not explain the itchy sore eyes that often occur with the nose problem (whole problem is worse in mornings the first two hours upon waking then clears up during the day and can sometimes return a bit at night) and this does tie in with something I once read about the late evening and night being a time the body detoxes. Will post results if I ever get a clear answer. ...
Guest guest
" If true, the gluten is actually wreaking havoc, creating unseen damage, symptoms grow (continue to vary, seemingly unrelated to food), and eventually lead to other diseases. " >that's what worries me, I can see some of the allergy/intolerance effects (nose, eyes) but what is going on that I cannot see. I have tried removing gluten for two weeks and the problem still persists, but never quite as bad as with the gluten. So it seems gluten is the number one danger for me, but there is something else in my other foods that is still a problem. It could be the starch as Rodney mentioned, so I am now trying to remove this for a few weeks to see what happens. if I have no solution by end of december then I will get some blood test in january. thanks ....
