Others here, have written about 'Electric Shock's' happening to them

too. What a shame you get pain when you have these episodes. There's

something I've never been able to understand. I think it was about 1996

when it happened - but I can't be certain. I was standing in my bedroom

(hubby was there) and about to go to bed.

Suddenly, without warning, I experienced massive 'Electric Shocks'. From

my head to my toes, and all over my body. Very heavy pulsing, and like I

was being pulled down through the floor. I felt a tremendous weakness,

it seemed to go on for quite awhile. It was all I could do to remain

standing because I felt like I was being rocked. My husband said he

couldn't see what was happening.

It only happened once. But it was horrific - and after that I never

bounced back. It was like my power-station supply had been shut down. As

though, a number of fuses had blown. I just know that this experience

had something to do with my going into what I call State-2 or the final

stages of CFS/Fibro.

I don't know if anyone else has had a one-off, massive episode like I

did. But I'm sorry you're going through this. It must feel awful!

It's exactly like your experience. I don't always have to sneeze or

cough sometimes it comes out of nowhere. It does zap you so hard that

you just about fall to the ground. I do have some bad back injuries

but I suffer horrible neck pain and headaches. I've been telling them

since 1994 something is wrong but no one is listening. Now they are

finally referring me to a neurologist which is great.

By telling " them " you mean...doctors...right! What galaxy does your

doctor live in? Sorry, but it annoys me! Not to listen to you about

something like this. I mean, having massive " Electric Shocks " - as you,

and I know - is not like a 'snack in the park.' It's major trauma. And

you've " been telling them since 1994! " I'm glad they're finally

referring you to a neurologist. Hope you get to the bottom of it. I can

easily recall how I felt when it happened. The thought of it still

scares me. I feel for you...let us know how it all goes. hugs Carlene

With sneezes, coughs, always electric shocks. Sudden movements, getting startled, suddenly being woken from sleep, all causes electric shocks for me. The worst ones are from sudden loud noises.

I don't know if it has any reference to the electric shock in the body, but I actually attracted lightening last summer, while inside my home. First time for everything. Something, probably the grace of God protecting me, redirected it when it touched my body, made it go back through the floor and into the ground and out to the back of the house where it blew up our electrical equipment on our Aerobic septic system.

Thank God, there are Guardian Angels to save us from instances like this. While expensive to fix, to the tune of $1500, it was much easier to replace that than to replace me.

Like I said, not sure if it is significant, but to tell you the truth not sure if being electricuted as a kid would be significant either.

I was told that there are people like Reiki people who can realign the electrical systems of human bodies and this won't occur anymore, but I don't have access to anyone like that where I am, nor the funds to try something that could potentially make me worse.

Hi Stacie, Yes the Reiki people can do all sorts of things. I'm lucky enough to have a close friend who does this and she has offered to do it on me. I just haven't done it yet. I'm not quite sure what is involved, but I'm willing to try. I'll let you know how it goes or if it works. Hugs H

This is a new Dr. / New Location / Etc. because we just moved.

So I will be seeing a neurologist as soon as possible. They took an

MRI with contrast years ago and found nothing wrong. They were

looking for any pinched off blood vessels because I have had such

dizziness since the car accident in 1994. They found nothing. But

obviously something isn't right. It's scary!

Oh! And to add to the neck stuff...If I sleep on my neck the wrong

way, tilt it the wrong way, hold it in the wrong position for too

long, lift something too heavy, etc. etc. I get neck problems. Yeah,

I love how my Dr's have just ignored me. It's frustrating!

I have very bad dizziness and vertigo and have had all those tests and nothing showed up either. They gave me Antivert and to basically live with it as they can't find out the cause either. Good luck with the new doctor, and seeing a neurologist, soon. There's

something about neck pain that I think is different than other areas.

Neck, and shoulder pain, too...seems to have a 'dragging down' effect.

And really fatiguing. Years ago, I went through several years of

agonising pain with my right shoulder. It went away. A recent

relapse...I've noticed it's returned. It's stiff, a little painful, and

my lower neck feels stiff, too. With my fingers I could feel all these

bumps along the shoulder - near the bone. Silly me, I thought it was

little bits of broken bone. Whatever it was when I dug into it with my

fingers it just broke up. It's not quite as bad but still stiff.

So, the original problem's still there. I mention this because I

understand your " neck stuff. " I once did a one-night wedding catering

job. You've no idea the weights of large trays of items us girls had to

carry. I recall I couldn't move for days because of pain in my neck, and

shoulder. It's years down the track that you remember these things. And

put it together. You, like me, may have to watch lifting heavy things.

Because of prior injuries. I've been carrying heavy bags of shopping up

and down stairs for almost eighteen-months, now. I'm just going to have

to limit what I carry from now on. Because the pain, and stiffness isn't

worth it.

Maybe these kinds of issues just don't show up in doctor's tests. And

since they don't know what to do they just ignore it. Perhaps a

chiropractor etc., can help you. I sure hope so! hugs Carlene

Carlene, sounds like are describing trigger points not be confused with tendar points. I relieve mine by applying steady pressure to them until they relax. They feel like a hard lump. I used to get them all the time in my back and after seeing a massage therapist the last 2 years that I worked, I don't get them as often. Sometimes I have them relieved by a chiropractor using the activator. Trigger points can be very painful, and they are not always at the point you feel the pain. Sandie -- Re: Electric Shock...
