Pam: Not sure if anyone else has responded, but desyrel is trazadone-generically-and is used for the treatment of depresssion and sleep disorders. Unfortunately, it does interact with a class of antidepressants called SSRIs. Too much of these SSRIs can cause serotonin syndrome and can potentially cause death.

Also, trazadone lowers blood pressure and seizure threshold for those of us who have those issues.
