Laurie,

I use a special floor lamp. I sit under while I am doing work, working on the computer etc. It is enough that I did not have to get the ones that you put on the table. I have the issue with not getting enough light in the winter. It does help.

I also tan. My doctor has me do this. There are tanning places that are educated in vitamin D and safety. Those are the ones Naturopaths like to use. This is a huge help.

Hugs,

Sue

Hi all,Just got my latest vitamin D test, and I failed, like I seem to do every winter. My doctor prescribed mega-humongous supplements for me to take every week, but then somebody told me about using light boxes with full spectrum bulbs. I know they are really expensive, and my insurance won't cover them, but I'm wondering if anybody has done something like using a single bulb in one lamp, and if that has helped.Thank you, and I hope everybody is having a mostly stress free holiday!Laurie

anyone here with LUPUS? who needs to avoid sunlight?

how do you get your vitamin D?

Can you make use of full spectrum lighting? it seems that it would be

contra indicated. I am curious as Doc is leaning towards LUPUS with me

and I am photosensitive.
