Guest guest
Piperine appears to facilitate the uptake of some nutrients. In another article however it appears the use of piperine may be contraindicated in conjunction with some medications. Piperine is reputed to be a aromatase inhibitor, which may be useful for males practicing CRON. I am still digging to determine if just adding dietary ground black peppercorns provides enough Piperine to have any pharamachological affect. Anecdotely adding cinnamon and ground black pepper to my green tea seems to have a gentle mellowing effect on me. Piperine may stimulate or facilitate the release production of Serotonin. If anyone else is interested dig in and see what you can find out. It appears piperine may be a worthwhile supplement or addition to the diets of CHRON practioners for a variety of reasons. Im sort of pill adverse myself so I like the idea of using increasing my pepper intake:) http://www.nutrition.org/cgi/content/abstract/134/8/1948 Piperine Enhances the Bioavailability of the Tea Polyphenol (–)- Epigallocatechin-3-gallate in Mice1
