Guest guest
Just remember to make sure they don't look too much like regular jewelry or the EMTs/MDs won't recognize them for medical IDs.Darlene From: carlene.grimshaw <carlene.grimshaw@...>Subject: Re: medical Emerg Alert® jewelrydominie Date: Sunday, December 21, 2008, 1:27 PM [For those who might be interested in ... Guest guest
I learned as a VOL. EMT and now a Community Emergency Response Team leader. Our firefighters cannot read them through their masks. So if you're awake please let them know. we Had simulated drill at the airport in 2007 and a make believe plane blew up with nuclear weapons on it.One of the instructors was splaying in the drill too and he was a diabetic. he went into diabetic sugar low and had to be taken by ambulance when they came out to get him if it was not for his dear friend who told them he was a diabetic they would not have known.we later found out in certain circumstances they can not read them through their masks. so just be forewarned about them too. hugs heidi
