REBOXETYINE

Drug Class: selective NRI;increases NE production

FDA Status: halfway through Phase 3 testing fro FM indication, coul;d be

on the U.S. market by 2010

Misc.Info: Not available in the U.S. but is approved in over 50

countries around the world fort he treatment of depression Intial

clinical use began in 2001

LACOSAMIDE

DRug Class: Anti-Epileptic Drug (AED) selectively inhibits hyperactive

neurons that lead to pain

FDA Status:

Expected to be approved in the U.S. arond Sept.2008 for controlling

seizures.Approval for treating diabetic neuropathic pain expected by end

of 2008.Phase2 trilas for FM treatment are completed and awaiting

permission ofthe FDA to proceed with phase 3 for the indication of FM.If

all goes well t is estimated to be marketed arund 2011

Misc.Info: Approved in 2007 in parts of europe for Seizure control

ROTIGOTINE (NEUPRO)

Drug Class: Transdermal Dopamine Agonist once daily patch

FDA Status: WAs approved in U.S. for parkinsons disease in 2007.An DA

application for treating restless leg syndrome sleep disorder at lower

doses was submitted in 2008.Phase 2 trilas for the treatment of FM are

onging but iof all goes well it should be FDA approved for FM arund 2012

Misc.Info. Was fiorst approved for treating parkinsons disease in Europe

in 2006 and has been used in over 10,000 patients.

P.S. XYREM is derived from GHB tis will deter some doctors from

prescribing it.
