Yes it is FDA approved it has a NDC number and such. Check out

www.nexcopharma.com

As for insurance, we will have to wait awhile until its in there

systems, people have tried but itdoesnt appear yet in the system they

use.

It is likely that if they covered the old kutapressin, they will cover

nexavir. Ifthey dint, they probably wont now.

I think most dont. The pharmacy on the website only accepts non

insurance payment methods, though you can goto any compounding pharmacy

to get them to order it and they may accept insurance, but right now,

not many insurance companies even have it in there system. I would wait

a few months.

It cost 125 + 8.75 shipping from the pharmacy on the website in

Wasington.

Hello,

This study on Nexavir which at that time was called Kutapressin:

Kutapressin for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

D.V. Ablashi, Z. Berneman, C. Lawyer and A. Komaroff National Cancer Institute,

Bethesda, land; town University School of Medicine, Washington, DC;

Private

Practice, Mequon, Wisconsin; Div General Medicine, Brigham and Woman's Hospital

and

Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts

Clinical Infectious Diseases 1994; 18 (S-1):S113

Kutapressin (KU: Schwarz Pharma, Milwaukee, WI) is a prescription drug

consisting of

processed extract from porcine livers that contains peptides; it has been used

in the

treatment of patients with herpes zoster, keloids, seborrhea, other skin

diseases and

neurasthenia.

More recently, results of uncontrolled studies have indicated that treatment

with KU

results in abatement of symptoms of many patients with chronic fatigue syndrome

(CFS).

One large study found evidence of reactivation of human herpesvirus type 6

(HHV-6) in

many patients with CFS. Moreover, HHV-6 DNA was detected by southern blot

analysis in

lymphocytes from patients with CFS. Because treatments with KU may have positive

clinical effects on patients with CFS and the evidence that CFS is associated

with

reactivation of HHV-6, we investigated the possibility that KU might have direct

activity against HHV-6.

KU that was free of phenol was dissolved in tissue culture medium (RPMI 1640

supplemented with 10% fetal calf serum and antibiotics) for in vitro studies. A

human

T lymphocyte cell line (HSB-2) was infected with HHV-6.

KU blocked HHV-6 (variant A, GS strain) infection of HSB-2 cells most

effectively at

doses of 300 and 500 ug/mL. These doses of the drug were not toxic to the cells.

Inhibition of HHV-6 infection (1,000 TCID50) was most effective (>95%) when

cells

(>106/mL) were pretreated with KU overnight, prior to viral infection, and then

were

maintained in the presence of KU throughout the experiment (14 days after

infection).

In addition, inhibition (>80%) of HHV-6 infection was observed when HSB-2 cells

were

first infected with 1,000 TCID50 of HHV-6 and were then maintained in the

presence of

300- and 500- ug doses of KU. When 300 and 500 ug/mL doses of KU were added to

cells 3

days after the start of infection with HHV-6, it inhibited only 22% and 33% of

viral

infection, respectively. When the cells were simultaneously treated with virus

and 300

and 500 ug/mL of KU, ~90% of HHV-6 infection was inhibited.

These data show that KU is a potent inhibitor of HHV-6 infection. Although the

mechanism of HHV-6 inhibition by KU is under investigation, electron microscopic

examination of cells treated with KU prior to HHV-6 infection revealed abundant

extracellular virus particles, which suggests inhibition of viral attachment and

penetration.

treatments as of last April, I am using a gel topical form, want to

switch to injection because less expensive.

Hello peggy,

I used the IM version and I did not experience any benefit from using it, but

many side effects actually.

But we are all very different, and what I experienced might not be what you will

experience. The only thing that is for sure is that even if you experience some

benefits, you will have to continue using it in order to extend those benefits,

and once you stop it you will also relapse most probably.

Keep us posted on the follow-ups, ok?

Cheers,

Massimo

Nexavir

I just got my prescription of Nexavir paste and applied my first dose

(I smell like a pig farm!).

I'm wondering how long it has taken for people to experience benefits,

especially those with severe cardiac symptoms and general bedriddenness

like me. Has anyone actually done before/after testing with Impedance

Cardiography or other tests and what happened?

Thanks!

Peggy

Hi,

I think the benefits you can get from Nexavir depend on your own situation.

Whe they do prescibe it

I started Nexavir in February and have my benefits.

On the moment from starting I was very bad. I did not respond soon on

Nexavir. Only the first weeks I had some site effects that has been caused

by HHV7 (yes 7).

It took 4 weeks more to remark positive effects.

But now there are and I am happy with Nexavir for every good moment. I am

functionating much better.

I am less tired, much more clear in my head, feeling less ill, my face is

without dark circles, my hair is much more healthy and the most important

thing for me is that my post exercise problems are less worse.

They still exist, but not in the amounge of before.

There has been an echographie f my hart again and it is functionating better

on the moment. I do not know, if that is because of Nexavir or just a

coincidence!

So me personnaly am not worrying about relaps later on this moment.

I do not know if that will happen, but the progress now is to good to be

scared allready for the future.

But Nexavir will be different for everybody.

Most people will get it for EBV or HHV6; I did not.

They also know that people with high elastase have benefit of Nexavir. And

also those with HHV7 possibly have.

greetings!
