I hope you're not on a coffee list... I was on one for a while and the volume of

email was ridiculous... I think it was the coffee

:-).

Regarding Starbucks (SBUX) I sold mine years ago because I couldn't see how they

could continue their rate of top line growth, well

they have proved my decision wrong a few years ago, but that makes them even

scarier to me (as an investment) today.

Regarding cancer scares... they have pretty conclusive data on cigarettes and

that hasn't stopped people from buying that.

the merits of holding on to Starbucks stock or not). Anyone have additional

info on this?

The prestigious UK medical journal Lancet has reported a link

between coffee consumption and pancreatic cancer, which by the way

is a particularly nasty cancer, 5 year survival is almost zero

percent, unchanged in years unlike other cancers where survival has

generally been improving (by the way I am a physician).
