Guest guest
, these conditions, as long as the Dr has the correct documentation in the chart, are 99% of the time approved right away. All of these are terminal conditions, that is rare that they are ever put into remission. FMS/CFS are not terminal conditions, even though we feel like they are. There is even a special class for end stage renal disease, these are people who are on dialysis and have been for some time and chances of them living Long enough for a transplant, are slim. These people get medicare right away, they don't have to put in the 24 month waiting period. Like my attorney told me when I filed and everyone else that I know that had filed, DO NOT LIST FMS/CFS AS THE FIRST AND PRIMARY REASON, you will have a long long battle that is often unsuccessful. My attorney went back 20 years on my health history, and listed everything, fms was Last on list. I could then show the length of time I had the conditions and treatments done and the progression of the diseases. Fms is list as a syndrome, which is a list of symptoms. I won on the amount of conditions that I had and the number of Dr visits and surgeries that I have had, and my chiropractic and massage therapy visits were considered as pain management and carry as much weight as narcotic pain medications. It does NOT list FMS/CF, etc. It is good to see that they are moving toward more compassion in dealing with severe terminal disease, however. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Sandie: As I said in my initial posting, none of the conditions are FMS/CFS related. I was just showing folks that that are some conditions on the fast track and they are indeed terminal. I also am on disability and went through all the hoops. I didn't intend to mislead anyone which is why I plainly stated that these allowances are not for FMS/CFS. I was just trying to indicate that SSD was moving in the right direction. S.
