Oh yes, we have plenty of cornbread and buttermilk. I like sweet cornbread (more like corn cake, I suppose), but I'm not too crazy about Aunt Mattie Lou's corn bread. She wasn't too thrilled about me marrying her nephew, she just assumed I was a city girl (everybody thinks if you come from Massachusetts, it must be Boston), but she learned to like me when she learned that I grew up on a farm and can milk a goat along with the best of them. :-)

Any cornbread and buttermilk too. I canot eat any type of greens with 3/4 of my thyroid gone. your post made me LOL.I will eat a dab of black eyed peas. heidi
