I use to avoid the " virtual " measure 'GLASS' and use " alcohol units "

instead, so I always assume a glass of wine as a " unit of alcohol " ,

and 1 AU (Alcohol Unit) is just 10 grams of alcohol, or 10% alcohol

in spirituous liquids. So, 100 ml of red wine is about 1.25 AUs. 3 to

5 glasses of wine a day is about 30 to 50 ml (grams) of alcohol a

day. (250 to 400 ml of red wine a day).

For beer, a 330 c.c. dose is 1.5 AUs from your 3 to 5 a day available

ones, and for spirits, guessing 40% alcohol, just 100 ml adds up to 4

AUs a day (so, the same as '4 glasses of wine' regarding ONLY at its

alcohol content).
