Guest guest
Ian: good to hear from ya!!! Yes we have long recommended xylitol as a sweetner and it should still be there in our " links " section. I believe it was Mambo Mambo who first brought it to our attention quite a while back when the group first began. But it's always a good idea to bring it our attention now and then. We also have links to places on the web where it can be purchased. Please do let us hear from you more often. on 2/6/2005 11:24 PM, Ian Goddard at iamgoddard@... wrote: > Xylitol, a sugar found in strawberries and other > natural sources, may help maintain and increase bone > density. Guest guest
The " xylitol " link in our link section may be outdated. So if anyone finds a newer or better source, please let us know and we'll update our link. I shopped around online but settled for the time being on the local Vitamin Shoppe, which sells one pound for $8.37, KAL brand. [1] KAL's xylitol says it's manufactured by Nutraceutical Corp, which is located in the US. [2] While shopping around I ran into super cheap Xy from China, but I've read enough about contaminants in third- world dietary supplements to make it a point to avoid them. I wasn't able to confirm the US source of the KAL product until I had the container in hand, and none of the online sources I found (including Vitamin Shoppe's website) indicate the actual source, although for all I know Nutraceutical Corp buys it from China and " manufactured by Nutraceutical Corp " simply amounts to putting it in a bottle(??).
