Guest guest
I bought a Salter bathroom scale on the internet. It was defective. The replacement was flakey, so I sold it at a loss on eBay. Salter had cheap looking construction. IMHO One should not buy Salter scales. I replaced the bathroom scale with a model 63664 by Soehnle, with which I am quite happy. I bought it on Amazon. I have no connection to Soehnle or Amazon. -----Original Message----- " The Salter Nutritional Scale is designed for precise measuring of ingredients or portions and for the better understanding of various nutritional values (fat content, sodium content, cholesterol, carbohydrate, fiber, protein and calories) for food or ingredients in cooking, baking, or just general dietary consumption. I've done more research and found that they claim an accuracy of 1 gram when weighing an item of 3000 grams. But I've also read other similar reports to yours, that question their overall accuracy. Anyway they have a 72 hour return policy of full refund if the contents are not damaged, so when I first receive it, I'll test it against a postal scale I have and check some of their nutritional database values as well.
