Guest guest
This is great. I hope a lot of people read this book. Reading the her first book on Volumetrics gave me my first really good ideas how to CR without hunger discomfort. Eat to Live finished that puzzle for me, particularly how to do the ON part without pain. > > Great article came out today. > > Regards > Jeff > > > 3/7/05 > Health & Medicine > Eat more weigh less > By Spake > > http://www.usnews.com/usnews/issue/050307/health/7weight.htm > <http://www.usnews.com/usnews/issue/050307/health/7weight.htm>
Guest guest
Hi folks: The article seems to me to be ambiguous about which is the best definition (i.e the most practically relevant definition) of energy density. Is it calories per unit WEIGHT? Or calories per unit VOLUME? I would think the latter is probably better. But early in the article she (Rolls, what a name!) seems to define it as the former. But then she calls it 'volumetrics'. So which is it? In other words, should we (in addition to measuring nutrient density - micronutrients per calorie) be measuring foods on a basis of weight? Or volume? Put another way, do our stomachs feel full based on the weight of food in them, or volume the food takes up? This seems like an important little detail.
