The " prudent " diet is usually (or similar to) the AHA Step I or II diet which is

not effective in lowering cholesterol, reducing risk of heart disease or most

anything else. The " prudent " diet is also the diet that the control group was

on in the Ornish studies. That group didnt get any better, their progression

just slowed down slightly.

To understand the problem, see my posts to Rodney about " which diet is which " as

the diets were not much different that the ones I posted.

Agreed 100%.

But that doesnt in anyway mean anything in relation to a truly healthier diet as

I have espoused here.
