Guest guest
I have found that the Girl Scouts are delighted if you give them a donation without taking the cookies. I love Girl Scout cookies and I promise you a box would not last until I hit my driveway. I don't dare take a box with me. Peace Pat

We bought two boxes and quickly scarfed them down. Ugh. I just can't have that stuff in the house. Lynn is in kindergarten so she is a Daisy girl scount. Daisies don't sell cookies but she will as a Brownie next year. Hmmm.... I have plenty of time to plan for that. Thank goodness that Lynn's soccer league doesn't sell candy or anything else. Her school did send home a card with 10 restaurants that you can get 2 for 1 meals. The card is $10. I'll tell my friends in Mothers and More that I have them if anyone is interested but I'm definately not a hard sell kind of person. I don't need a restaurant discount card! I need to eat at home to save money and calories. Ann
Guest guest
Oh goodness!!! I think the cookies would be harder than the See's candy bars. Good luck at the booth!! ~dd -----Original Message-----From: Jase4567@... Guest guest
I had a pretty good day yesterday… EXCEPT for the Girl Scout ccokies… Those lil girls have been at my grocery store too, and on the last day they were going to be selling… Could NOT resist then.. the last chance to be my all time favorite SAMOA cookie…ohhhhhhhh yum! I will happily report though, that all 4 of us ate the 15 cookies in that 1 box…. So while I WOULD eat all of them by myself given the opportunity, I only got 1/4 of the box this year… The GS's have had a booth set up in front of every grocery store here everyweekend for the past few weeks and it was so hard for hubby to resist, butthe less cookies in this house the better. I just hope the pile from workdoesn't come until *after* his vacation next week - not before!Sue in NJTo unsubscribe DO NOT send a message to the list. Please click on this link and unsubscribe:100-plus/join
Guest guest
> that all 4 of us ate the 15 cookies in that 1 box.. Only 15 in a box? That's good news! I'll be lucky if hubby gives me one from each box *if* I'm quick enough to ask for it, that is. A box that small he usually inhales before I even know he has it open! Guest guest
A few months ago, I raised the issue of the unhealthy cookies sold by the girl scouts. In fact I contacted the girl scouts and was told they were looking into healthier alternatives, but that was the last I heard. Tonight, ABC National News carried a story about the " junk " in girl scout cookies. Hope some of you saw it. Perhaps we're getting somewhere.
