Guest guest
We encourage moderation in this group and do not encourage fasting. Also vitamins and minerals work best taken WITH FOOD as they occur in nature. Fasting for one to three weeks sounds very extreme and risky. on 3/16/2005 4:42 PM, montanabobmcg at montanabobmcg@... wrote: > > > In " Beyond the 120 Year Diet " (p. 82 and 83), Roy Walford states that > frank vitamin and mineral deficiencies occur while fasting. Guest guest
For a 3 week long fast I'd encourage taking vitamins in their natural form, namely embedded within food :-). Does anybody have any suggestions as to which vitamin and mineral supplementation to take during a long term (water only) fast of 1-3 weeks. I know Walford discourages long term fasts. But I have had some success with this technique for a health problem (sinusitis), and I want to try it again with supplements. Thanks, Bob
Guest guest
Hi Bob: If you are planning a multi-week water-only fast I suggest forgetting about the supplements. Just advise the funeral home well ahead of time. Rodney. > > > In " Beyond the 120 Year Diet " (p. 82 and 83), Roy Walford states that > frank vitamin and mineral deficiencies occur while fasting. Guest guest
Bob, While not condoning such a long fast, I figure you've received enough warnings from the others to make up your own mind. If you insist on such measures, an answer might be in order. Personally, to avoid stomach upset, I would go with a so-called " whole food " multivitamin. For example, you might consider products from New Chapter or Garden Of Life. (And no, I have no affiliation with either company aside from being a satisfied customer.) Hope this helps and be safe, - --- In , " montanabobmcg " <montanabobmcg@y...> wrote: > > > In " Beyond the 120 Year Diet " (p. 82 and 83), Roy Walford states that > frank vitamin and mineral deficiencies occur while fasting.
