Guest guest
: in the future, please post references WITH the original post. It does no good to post and then a few days later, add your references, without your original post. We have no way of knowing if the references match the claims. TIA for your future cooperation. on 2/17/2005 2:57 AM, at wmbragg@... wrote: > > > >> Williiam: Please do give the references you allude to below. >> >> Everyone: If you're going to post such statements, please include > the >> references where you've gotten them (unless it's been discussed > before and >> you can be sure we're all in agreement e.g.: " CRON improves > health " ...... >> > > Sorry Francesca, I don't pretend to post anything with no reference, > but I have more than 1000 PDFs with studies and papers in my hadrd > disk, and some times is really difficult to find them quickly, so I > post knowing I have the reference, but I'm lazy and don't look for > it... Guest guest
>>> http://tinyurl.com/5fy4b <http://tinyurl.com/5fy4b> >>A walnut diet improves endothelial function in hypercholesterolemic subjects: a randomized crossover trial. Again, not suprising and only futher supports the ongoing contention here, and one that I support fully, that the whole food source of nutrients is " almost " always better than a fractioned refined source of nutrients. So, if you add MUFA to a diet, would Nuts be better than Oil? yes. The nuts have more fiber, more overall nutrients, and as the study said,... they had more omega 3s and more vit e. It also futher supports that the benefit of the so called " med " diet is not the olive oil. So, walnuts are better than oil, but are walnuts better than berries and leafy greans? Regards Jeff I'm still trying some more papers about those issues. Willie
