What's wrong with what we recommend in our " links " section? For both

sucralose and satietrol?

AFA satietrol, works for some - doesn't for others. If you try it, then

order a small amount to see if it works for you.

I didn't perceive any satiety help from satietrol. As for the link: I

don't know why they list soluble fiber as an ingredient separate from

guar gum... guar gum IS soluble fiber... so perhaps they're listing that

ingredient twice. The sodium benzoate is a preservative... not sure why

that's necessary. I presume the gluconic acid does something to

lessen lumps from the soluble/guar fiber. I suppose the commercial

stuff is OK (benefiber & metamucil are two others), but these are much

more expensive that making your own versions. Adding to sauces,

dressings, making popcicle & pudding type stuff you can do on your own.

I'm a big fiber fan... I like guar gum & psyllium... & lately, some

insoluble rice bran. I like making my own versions. & variations with

sucralose that I buy separately. I use 1 C water (sometimes part soy

milk), flavoring (i.e.. maple, vanilla, ), 1 T psyllium, 1 tsp. guar, a

squirt of sucralose.... & down the hatch. Sometimes I'll use this

concoction with cereal as a snack. I no longer care about lumps... The

fiber is the most helpful thing I can do for satiety & it's just

important for me to get some down.
