Guest guest
Hi Rodney, I agree that a healthy weight may be much less than published guidelines. I'm just starting CRON, but have been very health aware for much of my life. For many years (at my thinnest I might add), I adhered to a macrobiotic diet but eventually found it too difficult and time-consuming to follow. So, over the last few years, I've put on about 10 to 15 pounds and want to lose it and feel healthy. I'm a 44 year old female, 130 pounds and feel like my ideal weight (where I feel the best) is around 115. How much have you lost practicing CRON? Guest guest
Hi Rodney, I was not serious about what I ate before CR, and I mistakenly did it without enough concern about my nutrition until I managed to find the CR lists. --- Rodney <perspect1111@...> wrote: > > Hi : > > Health nut? Here is an interesting question. Is there anyone here actively practising CRON who was not already quite serious about their health before coming to CRON? It seems to me that perhaps you have to have a serious interest is health for quite some time before you could be persuaded to start CRON. I certainly was considered " out of the mainstream " as regards health for about thirty years before I came to find out about, and consider, CRON. ============= Not only was I health conscious before learning about CR, I am still more interested in ON, and not being overweight, than invested in a firm belief that I am adding significant years to my personal lifeline. I feel that my health and QOL have increased dramatically thanks to changes I have made, influenced by knowledge gained from this and other CR lists. Also, being exposed to examples of uber-skinny albeit still healthy people has allowed me to undershoot their extremes by a margin , while still losing far more weight than I ever dreamed of..... If I had sold my soul to the devil while still overweight in trade for losing my fat, I would have probably settled for 25# more than I currently weight :-) JR
