Guest guest
Similarly, I've read that " clean up " mechanisms by macrophages can lead to immune protection against tumor cells lysed by chemo. The cells gobble-up the cellular material but also present abnormal proteins within the wreckage to dendritic cells that could lead to adaptive immune response.... Staudt's group found that the immune signature following chemotherapy correlates with the duration of the response in DLBCL. And Levy has reported that localized radiotherapy can lead to regressions in non-radiated lesions in follicular lymphoma, particularly when the radiated nodes have been injected with immmune adjuvants.
