In North America, although shared needles and AIDS does increase the risk of the viral infections, it is largely alcohol and other factors that are responsible. Aflatoxin can cause liver cancer also. According to the pdf-available: Shimazu T, Tsubono Y, Kuriyama S, Ohmori K, Koizumi Y, Nishino Y, Shibuya D, Tsuji I. Coffee consumption and the risk of primary liver cancer: Pooled analysis of two prospective studies in Japan.
