Guest guest
>>>The ingredients listed do sound good. I wonder how hard it would be to make a batch of something similar at home? I don't do it anymore, as I try to avoid calorie dense foods, but when my daughter was growing up, I would make some homemade bars that I called " Sun-Ray " bars for her to have as snacks. I forget the exact recipe, but it was basically equal parts of sunflower seeds and raisin in a cuisinart and blended till it made a tough dough. Than I would roll them into bars, or balls, or " cookie " shapes and wrap them up. We sometimes sprinkled other ground nuts on them, like walnut or pecan. We also would mix and or match or substitue other dried fruits and nuts for the sunflower seeds and the raisins. They were great!! There is a local guy here who makes a similar item that he sells, as does some other mail order companies like jaffee brothers or diamond organics called date nut logs, or rolls. Most are all basically dried fruit and nut combos. Regards Jeff
