Guest guest
Hi folks: This is a one mile walking fitness test. But not the one I originally had found, as this one asks you to measure your pulse also. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=11201 It might be interesting for us to set up a table in the files to compare our results in a similar way to Francesca's BMI table. It would probably need columns for: ID, age, BMI, pulse at five minute point, pulse at end of walk, time taken to walk the mile (min:sec), and whether the mile was walked on an accurately measured, flat, athletic track (Y/N). If only a metric track is available the time could be adjusted proportionally. Any takers? With my arm in a sling it will be a while before I can enter fully realistic data for me. But in a couple of weeks I would be happy to enter some sling-encumbered data. Rodney.
