As a person who has an over-the-top sense of smell (and I sure wish I didn't), I

encourage you *not* to cover anything up with perfume.

Personally I prefer the smell of garlic on someone's skin than the smell of

perfume. Any perfume.

I suggest chewing mint leaves, basil, miner's lettuce... anything with a tang

for the breath. I don't think you can help the garlic-through-the-pores

phenomenon, short of avoiding the mega-dose of garlic. Maybe hold off on the

garlic before important social events? I do that with beans, anyway ;-) .
