Subject: ????? Bran ?????

Hi folks:

If this website (www.second-opinions.co.uk) or the individual

concerned with it (Barry Groves) is suspect please let me know. I

did not find his name at Quackwatch.

The following article at the site is an extremely one-sided critique

of bran. It does appear, however, to provide a large number of

references that are claimed to support the large number of criticisms

of bran that are made.

Since quite a few of us here supplement with various forms of fiber

(bran, cellulose, guar, psyllium ....... ), if the article has any

validity then it is something we need to know about.

If Groves is a twit, then please say so and provide a little

documentation of that if possible.

Thank you. Here is the link:

Rodney.

--I've long joked that with the way medical " science " keeps changing its mind

concerning practically everything, there will no doubt come a time in twenty

years or so when we'll see the headline:

" Oat Bran--The Silent Killer. "
