The definition of megaloblastic for anemia is " A large abnormal red blood cell appearing in the blood in pernicious anaemia " and my morphology of the red blood cells was normal. Hi All, My vitamin B12 was the last time it was taken and with the diet I now have 343 versus normal 107-657 units. The 100 g raw herring-like pilchards alone give 167% of the RDA of vitamin B12. The folate in my blood was 12.4 versus 3.4-40 normal reference range. I receive over 900% of the folate RDA. Many CRers have low hemoglobin levels.
