Not unlike raisins in texture, flavor. I bought organic ones in mass quanitites. I'll check and see if I can re-find the website. Guest guest
I've eaten dried wolfberries. Sweet in the way that raisins are sweet. I kept them in the freezer (b/c I didn't know how long it would take me to eat them). I'm sorry I don't have nutritional data. I bought from here: http://www.naturalhealthway.com/wolfberry/wolfberry.html Berkovitz wrote: So, has anyone on this list ever eaten a wolfberry? Drank wolfberry juice? Can attest to its flavor? Guest guest
I received an order of wolfberries from this compny and tried to eat them. Are they supposed to taste dry and flavorless, with a texture like cardboard, and a bitter aftertaste? Or is there something wrong with this batch? I am disappointed to find them inedible. Any suggestions? ~ > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I looked up some values and the orac scores (per 100 grams) are > > > highest for: > > > > wolfberries 25,000 > > > > prunes 5,700 > > > > pomegranates 3000 > > > > blueberries 2,300 > > > > blackberries 2,036 > > > > strawberries 1,220 > > > > > > > > Also high are Kale 1770 > > > > spinich 1270 > > > > > > > > > > > > And berries are relatively low in fructose, so it's double good! > > > > best wishes to all! > > > > MM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Chaqu'un a son gout, peut-etre? I would describe them as subtly sweet and chewy. Guest guest
Should I soak them? Bake them into something? I don't think I can acquire a taste for them as is. I think I now know why they're not sold on supermarket shelves, or even the shelves of my local organic market. > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > I looked up some values and the orac scores (per 100 grams) > > are > > > > > highest for: > > > > > > wolfberries 25,000 > > > > > > prunes 5,700 > > > > > > pomegranates 3000 > > > > > > blueberries 2,300 > > > > > > blackberries 2,036 > > > > > > strawberries 1,220 > > > > > > > > > > > > Also high are Kale 1770 > > > > > > spinich 1270 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > And berries are relatively low in fructose, so it's double > > good! > > > > > > best wishes to all! > > > > > > MM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi folks: Can anyone tell me how to pronounce the chinese for 'wolfberry', please? The chinese stores around here do not recognize the anglo- saxon pronunciation of it. Guest guest
Hi , These little berries are rather tastless with an after taste. I get them at my neighborhood international market. They are only $1.99 for 8 ounces (not organic). They are called Dried Chinese Berry and distributed by Walong. I've seen organic ones on the net for $14.00 a pound, but they are cheaper if you buy in bulk. I also drink one ounce of pomegranate concentrate daily. Guest guest
Thanks Connie. I'm trying to get used to them. If you chew on them awhile, they're sort of like gummy bears (horrors!). I've also added an ounce of pomegranate juice daily. And I tried to make clove tea, too. I bought some fresh ground cloves, and found that a half teaspoon mixed with hot water and a few drops of sucralose make a tolerable tea. > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > > > > I looked up some values and the orac scores (per 100 > > > grams) > > > > > are > > > > > > > > highest for: > > > > > > > > > wolfberries 25,000 > > > > > > > > > prunes 5,700 > > > > > > > > > pomegranates 3000 > > > > > > > > > blueberries 2,300 > > > > > > > > > blackberries 2,036 > > > > > > > > > strawberries 1,220 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Also high are Kale 1770 > > > > > > > > > spinich 1270 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > And berries are relatively low in fructose, so it's > double > > > > > good! > > > > > > > > > best wishes to all! > > > > > > > > > MM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I don't eat wolfberries by themselves. I blend them in my fruit/whey/ground flax/ice smoothie and sprinkle them on salads.
