Guest guest
Marsha, In Message 18179, I pointed out that the greatest proportion of fat is right under the skin. Intra-abdominal adiposity constitutes only a small part of the stored fat. So when we lose weight, we really shrink all over. Here is a picture of the cross section at the level of the navel: http://www.uchsc.edu/sm/chs/browse/browse_gifs/vhm/a_vm1750.jpg Notice that most of the fat is outside the abdominal cavity. I am glad that you are saving jobs and improving health through diet! Borderline diabetes is a real problem with truckers. At first no one believes the figures, claiming, " No Way in Hell! They are smaller " all over " is how they put it. They claim to have even lost shoe sizes! (Not sure about that!!) > They feel great and are off any medicine. Since no trucker can drive on insulin, we have saved five jobs! > MJBecco
