Guest guest
Hi All, Here is a paper that is not pdf-available and may suggest that every other day feeding (EOD) shows some changes that are consistent with what is known regarding CR in both normal and Ames dwarf mice. Masternak MM, Al-Regaiey KA, Bonkowski MS, Panici JA, Bartke A. Effect of every other day feeding diet on gene expression in normal and in long-lived Ames dwarf mice. Exp Gerontol. 2005 May 31; [Epub ahead of print] PMID: 15935586 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\ ct & list_uids=15935586 & query_hl=1 .... every other day feeding (EOD). Using real-time PCR, we have examined the expression of genes related to insulin signaling in the liver of normal and dwarf mice after 9 months of EOD. The results indicate that EOD produces some changes in the insulin and IGF1 signaling pathways, and that these changes are consistent with EOD increasing insulin sensitivity.
