Now of course this is only one take on this but then that's what you wanted right?

My first guess is that sure, the chemicals are very bad ,(I watched a spider die within seconds of being sprayed by a no scrub shower cleanser)

But also the L'Hermettes that he is experiencing(buzzing in hands and feet) and the nueropathic pain (sunburned feeling)could come from the position he was in while he did the cleaning,(pinched nerve or something like that, specially in the upper neck.)

I know that as a mechanic whenever I got under a machine in just such a way I payed for it until I saw my friendly niehborhood Chiropractor.

In the end it got so bad that I had to retire as pretty much anything I did would set off the nueropathic pain, the L'Hermettes I could live with but that burning was unbearable.Even a breeze blowing over my arm was pure agony.

You didn't say where your LDN was being compounded at but that is one of the first questions I would ask.

Also if he is (coincidentally or not) very toxic then those chemicals may have been the proverbial straw.

Now of course this is only my uneducated opinion on this but so be it.

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] cleaning concern

Hello,I read the messages here, but I've only posted once before. My husband was diagnosed with MS in June this year. He started on LDN about a month ago. Unfortunately we can't say that he is feeling any better at all. In fact, we were talking last night and he said that he thinks that he felt the best that he's felt in over a year the few days before he started taking the LDN. He is taking 4.5 mg after starting at 3.0. He plans to continue to take it in hopes that he isn't progressing. Like most of you, his Neuro wouldn't even discuss the LDN with him, in fact telling him that he wasn't interested in even hearing about it. Personally, I think he needs a new neuro. The man is nice but won't hear anything except his own voice saying take Copaxone. So, that is just background. My question is this. Last night my husband was feeling pretty good, his symptoms were at a minimum (by the way, most of his symptoms are sensory)and he decided to use a new cleaning product he had bought for taking soap scum off the bathtub. He is very careful to use rubber gloves and had the area well ventilated. However, by the time he was done with the tub he was feeling horrible, the buzzing in his hands and feet was bad, his skin felt hyper-sensitive (he describes it as feeling sunburned) and he had a crawling skin feeling across the bridge of his nose and forehead. We are wondering if anyone else has had a similar reaction to cleaning chemicals. The only thing he did differently was clean the tub. Thanks for your input.Robin

I find I am sensative to chemicals now whether they be perfume,

cleaning products or lawn sprays. I did notice some improvment after

doing a detox (Kidney/Liver).

Hi Alan,

I am the same way. when my husband paints inside the house I have to get out until it's dry. Otherwise I feel lousy. this week-end we went to a cookout and I sprayed insect repellent on myself. When I got home I had a reaction. My lip was swollen and puffed up and my eyes were puffed up. It had to be the repellent.

Anyone who has problems with odors and is painting indoors should use

Devoe Wonder-Pure paint. It contains no VOC

(Volatile Organic

Compounds). It has no odor.

I am not on LDN as yet, but I have few experiences with chemicals.

I cannot tolerate most of chemicals, my skin starts burning

and it becomes intolerable. So I have to make sure I am not around when people

are using these chemicals. I try to

use mostly vinegar and baking soda for cleaning purposes.
