LDN blocks the effect of narcotic pain meds. Make sure you are narcotic free for 10 or more days before starting LDN. LDN can put you into withdrawal. Check with your pharmacist to see if any of your medications contain narcotics.
Guest guest
Panadol and Baralgin are o.k. Baralgin has been discontinued in western countries. Guest guest
Hi I thought that I would just inject my two bits worth as maybe a light will come on for some one somewhere! I don't believe you will have any problem with the drug you take as niether appears to be an opiate type drug. However lets just say you do take an opiate type drug while on LDN, from what I have read in the past from people who started LDN while these opiates are in their system that is, the only problem they encounter is nausea, and that is after a long time use of these other drugs.Maybe the LDN isn't working also but it seems to me that always it is early on (first couple of days of LDN use) that they find this and there are no long term side effects anyway. Now feel free to contadict me but I say it can't hurt to experiment. I know I did with lots of things. Guest guest
Thank you Reg. Well I am going to start LDN probably this Sunday, I do not take no other medications, only vitamins, supplements, herbs, oils, minerals. If and when the pains are increased then I go for Panadol, Beralgin, and Xanax. Well I know that Xanax is out while talking LDN, although I usually take it just for one night, which in your view should not be that bad, but still it is better to know which medications can contraindicate with LDN than be sorry later. *Zora* San Trinidad West Indies *** -----Original Message----- From: Reg Kreil [mailto:regkreil@...] Sent: Friday, September 03, 2004 4:39 PM low dose naltrexone Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN pain medications Hi I thought that I would just inject my two bits worth as maybe a light will come on for some one somewhere! Guest guest
Zora, I don't know why you think that xanex is out if you are taking LDN. I take xanex every night and have never had any problems with it. Xanex is not a narcodic, but listed as a tranquilizer/anti-anxiety medication. Guest guest
I really wonder if the small amount of LDN we use has a serious effect on the efficacy of pain reducing opiates...
